How we approach the automation process
This step involves identifying PoC process, setting up teams, designing, developing and delivering robots, executing and evaluating PoC results, and preparing summary report and business case for executing RPA.
In this stage, we set up the COE in the organization. To implement this, we identify the resources who can manage the COE, train all the team roles dealing with robotics, define governance model, and define, measure, and monitor KPI for the Robotics Operation Team.
Here, we define the scope of the pilot. We develop requirement documents, risk management plan, create UAT strategy, UAT plans, and test cases. We complete the pilot development and conduct UAT to decide go/no-go, rollout the pilot and document the lessons learned, and finally prepare for ramp up.
In the ramp-up stage, we identify the processes to be automated, iterate the process of onboarding the new scope for automation, manage the demand pipeline, showcase the success of automation to the broader organization, establish RPA best practices, and focus on continuously building the RPA expertise within the organization.
In this stage, we try to integrate human and virtual workforce within the organization to drive business growth, explain to the management about the benefits of RPA and establish it as a core performance objective throughout the organization, implement Lean six sigma methodology to maximize the RPA results, and implement disaster and business continuity plans in case of any issues in automation.
